Stuart tragically was taken away from us in a car accident on Saturday morning. He was only 31 and
had a bright future ahead of him. Stuart touched the lives of everyone he met and it saddens me
greatly that I am having to write this. I can't think of the right words to express the
sadness and loss we are faced with.
Stuart was my brother and he was the best brother I could have ever wished for. He was a wonderful
son and my mum and dad thought the world of him and were very proud to be able to call him their
son.
He was a very conscientious hard working young man. He had recently started a new job and was
enjoying it and felt that all his hard work and professional achievements were being recognised.
He had achieved so much in his short life and we were all very proud of him.
Stuart was a kind hearted, generous and loyal friend to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting
him. His dry sense of humour and cheeky little smile will stay in our thoughts and our hearts
forever.
Rest in peace, dearest Stuart. x
One Year on.
Hello Stuart,
Í know I just wrote to you on Facebook, but i thought I would write here too as I´m not sure where you pick up your messages, but I do know you have recieved some of mine in the past.
I can´t believe a whole year has passed, it seems like a bad dream that is never ending. There seems to be nothing we can do for the pain, no pills to take, and nothing that can take my mind away from the good times we used to share and the laughs we used to have.
I could and would write so much more, but i´m in a Mexican Internet room with everybody staring at my tears,so i´m going to go now, and we´ll chat very soon.
Love you always
Keith

Hi,
please accept our condolences. We only learned the dreadful news when we opened Joan, Peter and Sara's Christmas card a few days before Christmas. We met Stuart a few days after he was born in 1977 in Aberdeen. Please stay with us if any of you come to NZ; there's plenty of room.
Still thinking of you every single day Stuart as we always will, and also your family. No-one can imagine what they are going through, and dear God we hope we never will experience the kind of pain that comes with such a tragedy. With all our fondest love from the Hurrell family. XXXX
Hi
Hi Stu,
It was a cracking race at the weekend, really exciting. It's a shame I don't have anyone to chat F1 with anymore, I really miss our chats. The pain just doesn't stop, it's torture.... I hope you are sleeping well? xx
We were sorry to see that when the site was updated our trbute to Stuart was not carried over from the orignal page (where we posted it on 24th July) so have posted it again.

They say that we all have our path to follow and we were so glad that yours crossed that of our son, James, and ours. The tragedy is that your pathway has proved to be so much shorter than you deserved.
We have such happy memories of your group of friends during your schooldays in Southwell and you know that you were always welcome in our home ~ the fact that you were still all friends despite the many changes in your lives says a lot and we really cannot believe that we will never hear another anecdote about you. Those already posted on the site are great (and ring so true of you) but we only wish we could have heard them in other circumstances.
You will always be remembered as such a kind, considerate, loyal and dependable friend, one of life's real gentlemen; modest and self-effacing you never seemed to realise in what high esteem you were held by all who knew you.
The world is a poorer place for your passing; it's been a privilege to know you and you will leave a gap in so many lives on so many occasions. Rest in peace.
So sorry to hear the tragic news about Stuart. Thinking of you Sara, and all of the family, at this very difficult time. With much sympathy, Lizzie xxx
Although I only met Stuart once, I felt close to him being my family. Stuart had a great sence of humour and we had a good time making fun of how eachother spoke. I miss him a lot and we send our love to the Mitchell family.

I was terrified to learn the dreadful news about Stuart leaving us forever.
I ve only met Stuart a few times, but he managed to touch my heart. He was one of the nicest guys I have ever known. And even though we didn't know each other that well, he was there for me when I was going through difficult time recently. Only proves how loving and caring Stuart really was.
U will never be forgotten hun and will always be missed.
Condolences to family, friends and all the people Stuart managed to touch with his kind heart.
And big thanks to Kieth and Robby for introducing us. I feel privileged to be one of Stuart friends.
Sleep well xxx
